Q: What grill cleaning brush do you recommend for your V shaped grates?
A: I personally buy a long handled, stainless steel or brass bristle, inexpensive one at either Target, Home Depot or Lowes. I usually pay less than $6. They work for many months, wear down, then I throw it away and buy another. The bristles reach into the center of the V and do a fine job. I have tried the "bristle-less" type of brush and have not found that they do a very good job.
Be sure to keep an eye out for loose bristles that they do not get into your food. They are also an indication that the brush needs to be replaced and that that particular brush was not of a very good quality.
I brush the grates during the warm-up before placing the food, and during the burn-off on HIGH.
