The 30" (and larger) grills are designed as "premium" grills, while the 27G and 27GXL are designed to be "value" grills. There are several differences between our 30" and our 27G and 27GXL grills:
- Grilling area. The 30" has over 55% more Effective Grilling Area than the 27G and over 25% more than the 27GXL. There is much more stainless steel in the 30" grill, as well as larger burners.
- Warming Rack. The 30" has more than 37% more area than the warming rack that is used on both the 27G and 27GXL.
- Bullnose construction. The bullnose is the design feature of the transition between the control panel and the firebox. On the 30" (and larger) Solaire Grills, The bullnose is a finely crafted stainless steel structure that has been welded, ground and polished, including a mirror polished stripe. Besides adding more stainless steel, it is also rather labor intensive. Neither the 27G nor the 27GXL have this feature.
- Cover. The 30" (and larger) Solaire Grills include the cover. For the 27G and 27GXL grills, the cover must be purchased separately.
- Cart. The cart for the 30" has double doors, room for storage and is fully assembled. The pedestal bases for 27G and 27GXL require assembly, and provide storage for a propane tank, accessible from the rear of the pedestal (no doors).
- Hood Handle Brackets. The 30" (and larger) Solaire Grills have a heavier, more expensive pair of hood handle brackets than those used on the 27G and 27GXL.
- Rotisserie Motor. The Rotisserie Motor supplied with the 30" (and larger) Solaire Grills that include the rear infrared rotisserie burner is a much more higher quality than that supplied with the 27GXL rotisserie burner grills.
- Knobs. The 30" (and larger) Solaire Grills are provided with metal control knobs. The 27G and 27GXL models are provided with black phenolic plastic knobs (metal knobs may be purchased separately).
All Solaire Grills share the following features and benefits:
- Made in the USA by a 100+ year old family business.
- Serious heat for serious grilling. Equivalent performance throughout all sizes to make great tasting, juicy food.
- Stainless steel main burners with either ceramic infrared, double-lanced ported U-burners, or both. Easily removable for cleaning or conversion.
- Pushbutton rapid-start electronic ignition
- All stainless steel construction with heli-arc welded seams and no mechanical fasteners.
- Hand-polished mirror finish accents.
- Limited lifetime warranty on stainless steel construction, main burners and V-grilling grids.

- Stainless steel V-grilling grids enhance flavor and reduce flare-ups.
- Removable stainless steel warming rack and drip tray.
